10 Easy Ways For Anyone To Make Money During Their Free Time In 2017

Here's our list of 10 easy ways for anyone to make money during their free time in 2017. If you want to learn how to earn money from home, how to make money online fast, or different easy ways to make money in your free time, then this list is for you!

1. Sell your new or used items on eBay, Offer Up, or Craigslist-

Do you have extra stuff laying around your house that you no longer need, and just takes up space? Sell those items on one of the websites/apps mentioned above for quick cash. eBay is the least risky option, in my opinion, because you actually mail the items you sell, while both Craigslist and Offer Up require a person-to-person exchange. There are pros and cons to both but be careful when arranging a meet up. Craigslist and offer up are usually a bit riskier than eBay; However, they can be quicker and easier methods to making extra money, rather than posting on eBay waiting for a buyer, shipping the item, waiting for it to arrive, then waiting for PayPal to clear your funds. These two websites/apps don't take a cut like eBay does. Depending on your comfort level with meeting people and how quickly you need money will determine which seller platform is better suited towards your needs. All 3 are great easy ways to make extra cash though.

2. Swagbucks-

I know...surveys, you've heard of this method so many times before. The reason you've heard this so much is because surveys is one of the best, easiest, and most legitimate ways you can make money when you're bored. And the best survey website, in my opinion, is swagbucks. This platform is very user friendly, honest, and makes taking surveys fun. Swagbucks has a lot of different ways for you to take their surveys. Once you complete these surveys you earn what's called swagbucks, and after you've built up enough you can trade them in for gift cards. This falls into the "making money online" category because you can exchange swagbucks for PayPal "gift cards". You can also trade them in for amazon, eBay, Walmart, etc. gift cards as well. You can take surveys from the website or the mobile app, and each survey tells you how many swagbucks it's worth and how much time it should take you to finish it. It's not the fastest way to make extra money, but it's an easy way and doesn't require much effort. Realistically you could make around 100$ extra a month from swagbucks.

3. Ibotta App-

FREE BONUS! Get 10$ by using the link below!

This is the best smartphone app for getting cash back on your everyday purchases. How it works is, once you download the app there are tons of different items to choose from to get cash back on once you purchase them from your local stores such as Walmart, target, the Home Depot, and many more. You choose the items you plan to purchase, each item contains a different cash back rebate amount. After purchasing the unlocked items open the app and submit a picture of your receipt. The app will recognize the items you purchased and will credit your account for the specified rebate amount. Your account can be cashed out via PayPal.

4. Go To Coinstar-

Most people, if not everyone has/should have a spare change container or piggy bank. If you don't have one I encourage you to get one, because it adds up very quickly and you'd be surprised how much you can save. Once it's full, or if times are tough, take this to your local Walmart and find the Coinstar machine, dump your change in it, and redeem it for cold hard cash!

5. Walmart Savings Catcher-

We took a poll to see how many people knew/have used the "savings catcher" feature on the Walmart app, and we were very surprised at the number of people who aren't using this wonderful feature. Similar to the ibotta app, savings catcher analyzes a picture of your receipt after purchasing items from Walmart. After identifying the purchases made it checks other local stores such as: target, dollar general, HEB, etc. to check their prices. If the competing stores have a lower price than the price you paid at Walmart, Walmart will pay you the difference. This is for every item you purchased which can add up very quickly if you shop at Walmart often.

6. Reward cards-

These are credit cards that reward cardholders for using that card while shopping. There are a lot of rewards cards from many different companies, each offering different cashback or incentive rates/percentages. If you're using a regular credit card that offers no cashback or rewards....you're doing it wrong.

7. Rent your home out on Airbnb-

Airbnb is a cool little app that, if comfortable enough with the idea, allows you to rent out your home, apartment, room, or extra space out to people. You can choose when to allow it and also choose your rate! From what we've gathered, it's actually pretty safe to do this through this app! If you have the space or an extra place that's not being used why not make money from it??

8. Have a garage sale-

If you have a lot of items you no longer need it's better to have a garage sale versus trying to sell all of the items on Craigslist. You can, however, post an ad on Craigslist, as well as your local newspaper, and Facebook community page to let people know about your garage sale. More people = more sales!

10. Drive with Uber or Lyft!

Both of these companies will pay you a good amount of money to become a driver for them, and give people rides to wherever they need to go.

This is a great option for those who have a lot of free time on their hands. With both of these companies you choose your own hours, and you use your own car, this makes it a very lenient and flexible solution to make money during your free time. They also offer great sign up bonuses!

10. Sell your clothes you no longer wear-

And finally,  several places such as Platos closet will pay you cash for your new or used name brand clothes that you no longer wear. The brand of the clothes and the condition they're in will determine what they'll pay for them.
